Hi, I’m Tia—master colorist, mentor, and founder of The Eclectic Chair.
I’ve been in the industry since 2006, when I launched my career just days after finishing cosmetology school at age 18. Inspired by my mom and the vibrant salon community I grew up in, I knew from the start that this was more than a job—it was a calling.
I began booth renting within months of getting my license, juggling multiple jobs to build my dream from the ground up. With the guidance of incredible mentors and a deep commitment to education and growth, I spent the next several years learning what it truly means to serve clients, run a business, and show up with heart.
In 2012, I opened The Eclectic Chair—a name that reflects both my personal style and my vision: a welcoming, ever-evolving space where creativity, authenticity, and connection come together. What began as a salon has grown into a creative community hub, offering not only hair services, but also workshops, coworking, mentorship, and a coffee pop-up designed to support other independent professionals.
We’re proud to be a Davines concept salon, aligned with sustainable practices and clean beauty values. My work has always been about more than great hair—it’s about helping people feel at home in themselves. I believe in enhancing what’s already there, and in creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
As we move forward, The Eclectic Chair continues to grow into something bigger than me. It’s becoming a space for others to build, belong, and bloom. Whether you’re here for a custom color session, a quiet workday, a cup of coffee, or a transformative conversation—you’re welcome here.
